Barcelona ++ Las Ramblas, La Bouqueria ++ Cool shop, chocolates outside. Its winter...and I didn't buy a piece...looks too much for me to take.
Barcelona ++ Casa Batllo ++ We are poor, we just took the outsides. So if anyone interested to go Casa Batllo, you might want to pick up books in the bookstores to see what the interior is like before paying entrance fees. Do buy the headphones too, if thye have it, normally priced at 1 Euro or maybe more. It gives explanation to chosen spots/objects or whatever.

Barcelona ++ Casa Milla ++ I'm fascinated with the stairs. Real neat stuff we have there.

Barcelona ++ Casa Milla ++ Sunset on the roof. Yes, the roof desgin is weird but beautiful. Best place to be.

Barcelona ++ Casa Milla ++ A basic overview what this building is supposed to look like.

Barcelona ++ Casa Milla ++ Fascinated by the floor tiles (?!), yees, they are nice.
Barcelona ++ Casa Milla ++ Cool chair and mirror. Replicas of the furniture Gaudi designed for the house.

Barcelona ++ Casa Milla / La Pedera (sp) ++ Yeah Gaudi's work again. A weird house which looks great. It has been recontructed and probably lodt it charm to me, cause when my mom came here 12 years ago, it looked like a ghost house. Now.....well, not that spectacular to me.
Barcelona ++ Park Guell ++ My favourite spot (?) in the park. Looks...great, or at least to me.

Barcelona ++ Park Guell ++ Cool mosaic by Gaudi...and no, its not an Iguana, its a dragon.

Barcelona ++ Park Gurell ++ Another cool design by the genius Gaudi. Its a gate (duh) and resembles a butterfly.

Barcelona ++ Montserrat ++ Okay, I forgot this one. A rough idea of the entrance to the chapel there. If you're curious, those brown lines shaped like a spiderweb is supposed to be a copy of Michealangelo's work somewhere and the colours have been 'inverted'. This corridor here you see is the path to the Black Madonna in Montserrat. The statue is a replica though...got lost a few centuries ago I think.
Another day in ACJC, today was like...so-so? Subject choosing today, nothing special about, except mess and chaos. KI results are tommorrow, so I'm still undecided whether I'll attend the GP lecture or the KI one. I doubt I'll make it for KI, I thought I handed in a half-assed answer. While others were scribbling (probably lit experts), I stared at the question. Only filled like, 1 page worth? So, the chances are slim, no matter how you look at it. Probably it will take a miracle for me to pass it.

My group mates, Edlyn, Charrise, were pretty excited about the dance try-outs and I heard it was HARD. God bless I didn't go. Looks like I'm stuck with CO till the O results come out. Today's 'motivational speech' by Mr Sum was pretty much uplifting for me, cause I have no hope in staying in ACJC, I might just hop over to JJC after the O results...

Yeah, I know I don't post much on this dusty blog, but its hard to keep up. So there you go.
I'll be posting pictures on this blog, but it just takes too damn long to upload one single picutre, what more of tens of pictures? I've left Valencia, Seville,Madrid,Fatimah etc etc. Its Spain by the way.

Barcelona ++ Park Guell ++ A scene in the park, its rather pretty, considering its winter,
Barcelona ++ Park Guell ++ Still on the 'centre', there are seats that 'fences' up the whole area. Yeah its just one wavy line throughout. However the coolest thing about these seats is the seats itself. Sit on it and you'll feel great. Its ergonomic. That guy's a genius, he built this like years ago and already came up of this idea. This seat BEATS ANYOTHER SCREWED UP PLASTIC CHAIRS WE FIND IN SCHOOL THAT HAS WAVY BACKS AND IS 'SUPPOSED' TO BE ERGONOMIC, when all it does is to add to the pain. 100% comfort, my mom and I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Another plus point is the desgin. Due to the curves, it was practically impossible to do mosaic, thus the dude had to smash the pieces into smithereens and design what we see now. If you're curious, the hole at the bottom is supposed to drain water from the seats when it rains. ^__^
Barcelona ++ Park Guell ++ Yeah this is a cool place. Another landmark designed by Antoni Gaudi the Genius! This is a scene at the centre of the park. The park was originally desgined as a living quarter for the people, think apartments? But due to the weird desgin, only 1 house was bought, that was by Gaudi himself. Later on the park was donated to the city.
Back to the centre, the 'sand' that covers the area has a special quality to drain water out fast and water will flow down the pillars to the water storage, very cool, yes?
Barcelona ++ View from Monserrat. Looks all green and nice. We sure don't have this back at home. Bukit Timah is out of the question.

Barcelona ++ Monserrat. Some mountain with jagged rocks and such. I think its a monestery or probably a church? Anyway, its also a school with kids proper. Yes, its a nice place, but its also very commercialised, haha. This picture is the entrance of the chapel, Jesus and the 12 Apostles.
Barcelona ++ Yeah, so I didn't get the chance to take a picture of a COOKED paella (Spainish food that my Mom's all crazy about).
Thus, a paella in the midst of cooking still works. Yeah, so this is how you cook paella. Dump everything inside and the stock, seafood and Valencian/Paella rice. And yes, you can't cook paella without the correct rice. Cook it with Japanese rice or Chinese rice and it will taste all mushy. I also just discovered that saffron ROCKS! It makes the food all so aromatic and it attributes to the dish's yellow colour. And wow, such a huge pan, haha.

Barcelona ++ Top of some hill, not really that memorable for me haha. Anyway, can you see the Sagrada Familia? Thats how tall and big and prominent it is.

Barcelona, Sagrada Familia ++ Took a lift up the church to the highest available point to take pictures. And wow, the pillars (representing 12 Apostles , Jesus and Mary I think) are TALL! The design is very special, everything is round, no straight lines or whatsoever. Anyway, the pillars are freaking cool.
Barcelona, Sagrada Familia - Interior of the church. And yes, Gaudi wanted the pillars to look like tree trunks. Apparently he was fascinated with Nature.
Barcelona - Still in Sagrada Familia. Right of the back entrance is another building. The whole church is Gothic style due to Antoni Gaudi accepting the project after another architect.
Barcelona - One of the greatest works of Antoni Gaudi, the Sagrada Familia (Church of the Holy Family)
This is probably the best architecture in Barcelona. I think this part is supposed to be the back of the church, and
as you can see its STILL under construction despite this project started way back in the past.

Barcelona - Some random street in Barcelona's Old Town area

Barcelona - Some random Catholic church along the streets.

P/s : Hello! Didn't work and uploading pictures through Blogger is FREAKISHY slow.

Orientation in ACJC rocks
Glad I didn't regret or something like that.
I just realised Kiyoharu has a very nice voice, I absolutely adore Carnation and slow! {ED and OP of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge respectively)
Takano is modeled after Kiyoharu himself! Slight similarities though.
Just saw Gackt's new album, he doesn't look so gay anymore.
No more skin tight leather pants I pray.
Posting Spain pictures real soon
Didn't expect to be so free in the first 2 weeks of JC.
